I anticipate all the weddings that I photograph – especially since I’m talking to the bride and groom on and off for at least a year before the day finally rolls around. THIS day was even more anticipated. Not only did it kick off my 2019 wedding season, but it was also the first wedding I shot after having Zoe, AND I’d been emailing back and forth with Jess for what seemed like foreverrrr – I was so ready to meet these two!
Shoutout to my mother-in-law for making the drive up to the Cape to watch my then 5 1/2 week old daughter so I could take a day trip to Holyoke, MA – which was bout 2 1/2 hours away. I got to blast the music for the first time since having a baby and enjoyed every minute of the drive up that morning.
I walked in and immediately got a big hug and a gift bag from Jess – who found the freakin’ cutest baby onsie with a camera on it that they found and said they just had to get for me. *sniff* (my couples are THE best). From there, everything honestly went perfectly! It was cold, but it was GORGEOUS. Jordan and Jess were/are such a fun pair and they kept me + each other laughing/crying all day long. (those tears when Jess walked down the aisle, man. Not gonna lie, my postpartum emotional state was not ready.)
These two are so special, and it’s so obvious they love each other deeply. I’m so happy they’re each other’s husband and wife now. Never stop having fun. 🙂
