One perk of getting married is that all of the sudden you have this new family and all of these new friends. You hope everyone gets along. 😉
Christiana was one of those new friends that I got after I married Matthew. They have known each other since being in diapers and practically grew up together. I’d always heard about Christy, but I didn’t get to meet her until roughly a year and a half ago, AND I got to meet Ryan at the same time. (Added bonus!!!)
At the time, Ryan was this new guy she was dating – we’d heard great things about him, and the four of us met up for a breakfast that ended up lasting 4 hours as we talked about everything under the sun.
A few months later, Ryan organized THE most thoughtful and artistic proposal I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen/heard about a lot). I still cry every time I watch the video – then again, pregnancy hormones probably don’t help.
We. Were so. excited.
Over the past year as we’ve spent more time with Christiana and Ryan, it’s only become more and more evident how perfectly they compliment each other, how happy they make each other, and how clear it is that God gave them this gift of love.
I could go on and on and on, but I’m going to let these pictures speak for themselves. Seeing two people who understand marriage, and what it means promise so genuinely to honor and cherish each other forever is probably one of the most beautiful things I’ll see on this earth. Ryan and Christy, thanks for being an example of that.

Even unto death
With my every breath I will love You
